Areas of Specialization : For 20 years I have worked with survivors of trauma. This has ranged from women living with domestic abuse, those wounded by childhood sexual/physical abuse, cult survivors and recent rape victims. Many of the clients I work with have a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) that affects their quality of life. I have had training in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and work both as an individual therapist and groups skills trainer in that model. I have also had training in prayer counseling if an individual wants that as part of their sessions. View of Therapy: I believe that God works to us, giving us the ability to work in areas where He wants to facilitate healing. Areas of wounding are shown through the fruits of our life; when we find the root of the problem it can be exposed and cut out. When this happens we can be the people that God intended us to be. |
